RV Industry Posts Best October Total in 38 Years

RV wholesale shipments tracked by RVIA posted the best total for October in 38 years with 32,346 units shipped last month.
This total was 30.1% ahead of the 24,869 RVs shipped in September and 11.2% better than the 29,080 RVs shipped in October of last year.
Monthly gains were seen in every vehicle category with travel trailers, fifth wheels and all types of motorhomes leading the way.
Year to date, total shipments have now reached 303,698 units through October, up 9.4% ahead of the first ten months last year. The October advance virtually assures a fifth consecutive annual increase in RV shipments since the end of the last recession.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, October shipments this year were at an annualized rate of more than 385,000 units.
