The RV industry is family-oriented, both in its approach towards customers and in the structure of many businesses that focus on the industry. That’s certainly true at RCV Custom Coach Service in Junction City, where owner Bob Vinson has operated his family-run business for the past six years.
Bob started working with RVs at Country Coach in 1998. After some time in R&D and production, he found his calling in the service department. Troubleshooting and problem solving has always been a passion for Bob, and he has a unique ability to listen to customers, find the real issue with their coaches and repair it correctly the first time.
“It’s important to us that we do a job well, but it’s just as important that you are completely comfortable and knowledgeable about all aspects of what we’re doing with your coach,” said Bob. “We want you to be able to talk to the technician who is actually doing the work.”
“Too often, other people take the easy path of changing parts until the right one is finally replaced,” Bob said. “We always look deeper to find the real problem, fix it, and send you on your way. At RCV we do mobile service, but if the job requires your coach to be in a shop, we can do that too.”
Some RV owners have already met Bob at Camp Country Coach, or perhaps in California where he worked as a Service Specialist in field support. He and his team were there to meet Country Coach owners’ needs, which often meant leaving at a moment’s notice to help get a coach back on the road. That work lead Bob to the position of Custom Product Specialist, where he worked on the entire process, right from the build through a coach being picked up by the owner, and even through that crucial first year of ownership.
In 2008, with the fall of so many industries, Bob made a hard choice and left Country Coach to work at Oregon Motor Coach as their Service Manager for a short time. There he became familiar with brands such as Monaco, Liberty, Holiday Rambler, Winnebago, Foretravel, Alfa and more that crossed his path.
- Mobile inspections and services are provided when and where you need them. The technicians at RCV can handle just about any RV problem they encounter, including all work on:
Water Filtration, Hydronic Heating, Toilets and Plumbing Systems
Monitor Systems and Electrical Systems
Inverters, Generators, Batteries, Chargers and Converters
Hydraulics and Slide Outs
Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps
Flooring, Furniture, Lighting and Ceiling Fans
Entertainment Systems and Appliances
“Our technicians are trained in many different services and take great pride in performing them to your satisfaction,” Bob said. “It’s important to us that you feel free to ask questions while we perform any service for you, so that you are familiar and comfortable both with the problem and with the best solution.”
“We’ve recently opened our shop in Junction City and we continue to offer our mobile services. Give us a call or email us to make an appointment.”
